Rules and guidelines for using electronic devices safely on board Pyramids Airlines aircraft.

Allowed Devices

Devices permitted on board our aircraft

All devices must be in airplane mode

Electronic devices with data exchange functions (GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) must be switched to airplane mode before aircraft doors close.

Smartphones & Tablets

All phases

Must be switched to airplane mode. Bluetooth off before doors close. May be used in all flight phases once in airplane mode.

Electronic Watches & Fitness Trackers

Allowed during all flight phases. Devices with cellular connectivity must have airplane mode enabled.

Cameras & Video Cameras

Allowed during all flight phases. Flash photography is discouraged during nighttime cabin service.

Wired Headphones

Allowed during all flight phases. Wired headphones are recommended over Bluetooth for maximum compatibility.

Laptops & Notebooks

Allowed during cruise phase only. Must be stowed during takeoff, landing, and turbulence.

Forbidden Devices

Devices NOT permitted on board at any time

Mobile phones/smartphones NOT in airplane mode

Pagers and satellite phones

Walkie-talkies, radios, and radio transmitters

Amateur ham radios

Remote-controlled devices and toys

Wireless microphones

Any device without an airplane mode function

How to Pre-Order

Three easy ways to request your meal

On aircraft equipped with an "OFF TELEPHONES" light panel

Usage of electronic devices is allowed only after the light panel is turned off. Follow crew instructions at all times.

Airplane mode disables:

Cellular data (GSM/LTE/5G)

Wi-Fi connectivity

Bluetooth connections

GPS on some devices

When to activate:

Before aircraft doors close

When instructed by cabin crew

When the seatbelt sign is illuminated

Keep enabled until doors open at destination

Medical & Assistive Devices

Always permitted for your health and safety

The following medical devices are permitted during all flight phases:

Hearing aids and cochlear implants

Cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators

Portable oxygen concentrators (POC) — FAA-approved models

Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines

Insulin pumps and glucose monitors

Other essential portable medical equipment

Please inform us during booking if you require the use of a medical device on board so we can ensure accommodation.

Tips for a Comfortable Flight

Get the most out of your devices on board

Charge before you fly

Ensure all devices are fully charged before boarding. Not all seats have power outlets.

Download content offline

Download movies, music, and books before your flight to enjoy without internet access.

Carry a power bank

Portable batteries under 100Wh are allowed in carry-on baggage. Spare batteries must not be in checked bags.

Use noise-cancelling headphones

Wired noise-cancelling headphones are ideal for long flights. Bring an adapter if your device uses USB-C audio.
